#NSS2014 | National Stationery Show

It's that time of year again! The time of year when my instagram feed is absolutely filled with talented designers making their beautiful booths for the annual National Stationery Show in New York City. I might have checked flight prices many, many times considering a last minute day-trip to stroll through the aisles and aisles of booths at the show. But as a recent college graduate who needs to SAVE her money, a flight to NYC is not the most logical decision.

Instead of a flight, I have been following the show's hashtag #nss2014 on Instagram to follow my favorite designers and find so many more that I am now obsessed with! I wanted to share a few of my favorite paper-preneurs and booth designs.
First one my list could be no one else but Miss Emily Ley. She is truly a remarkable designer and person. She is the creator of The Simplified Planner, which is a beautiful planner (which now comes in THREE cover colors) to help busy women focus on what matters most. Her booth represents her brand perfectly... A bright, clean, white space with pops of the signature Emily Ley colors! Follow Emily on Instagram @EmilyLey

Next is a picture of the amazing Thimblepress booth coming together. Anything catch your eye? Yep that's a life-size cutout of the owner's golden-doodle for visitors to hug! They are known for their Push-Pop Confetti, which is as cool as it sounds!! Follow Kristen @ThimblePress
I bet you can alllll guess why this company caught my eye... Yep they have a Labrador retriever in their NAME and LOGO! I discovered the Creative Lab Press through the #nss2014 and I am so thankful that I did. The Oregon based shop is filled with letterpress goodness and beautiful state-shaped stationery! Follow Bri @CreativeLabPress
My first encounter with Lydia & Pugs was in an Anthropologie. I picked up an adorable card covered in an assortment of large dog breeds adorned in scarves, hats and ties! Needless to say, I was smitten. The brand just launched their dog covered wrapping paper at the show! Follow Dawn @LydiaandPugs

This booth caught my eye on the hashtag feed with the white walls, globe and beautiful stationery cabinet! Oh Hello Friend has the cutest tea towels to hang in a new apartment's kitchen. Follow Danni @OhHelloFriend
Stephanie Creekmur is the queen of Southern sayin's! This lady is involved with the Stationery Academy alongside many other talented women who are so inspiring to me. Follow Stephanie @StephanieCreekmur

Parrot Design Studio's work is absolutely stunning! I learned of them through the ever lovely Southern Weddings gals (who are also posting about the show @SouthernWeddings & @NicoleAYang). Sarah is such a talented hand letterer and calligrapher! Follow Sarah @ParrottDesign

Being new to the creative industry, what I love most is the sense of family and support. It is truly a community of inspiring individuals who instead of settling for a job, created a career they love! I am so blessed to be a part of an industry filled with so much talent and I can't wait for the day that Morgan Alexandra has a booth!!
